YOUR ROLE IN OUR MISSION:
This position requires a valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
As a vital member of the Performance Improvement team within the Pharmacy Division, the Pharmacy Customer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in our collective success. This position involves collaboration with various departments within Pharmacy and the Department of Medicine, as well as engaging with our patients and partners.
The Customer Care Center operates in a dynamic environment.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Shifts are 8 hours long and rotate, including weekends.
In this capacity, you will deliver a range of call center services to the Pharmacy and Medicine departments, enhancing the overall customer experience at AHF.
The Pharmacy Customer Support Specialist contributes to AHF's mission by providing a welcoming and supportive voice to patients, clients, and customers seeking information, scheduling appointments, or transferring prescriptions to AHF, as well as addressing grievances or complaints.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in the role of Pharmacy Customer Support Specialist, candidates should possess the following:
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A valid California Pharmacy Technician license or certification, or the ability to obtain a National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 12 months of employment
- At least three (3) years of recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role, with proficiency in data entry and familiarity with pharmacy systems and Windows applications
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMS) is required
- Proven customer service experience
- Bilingual skills are a plus
