Position Overview

Cardinal Health is seeking a dedicated individual for a PRN (as needed) role, primarily covering for staff absences. The operational hours for this role are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.

Role Summary

We are looking for a proactive and motivated clerk to join our company-owned retail contract pharmacy. The Pharmacy Support Associate will perform essential clerical duties to facilitate the operations of the retail pharmacy. This role involves assisting healthcare providers and patients by providing a warm welcome both in-person and over the phone, addressing inquiries, and directing requests to the pharmacist as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills to aid in the establishment and growth of a new community healthcare center pharmacy.
  • Must possess an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances is essential.
  • Greet healthcare providers and patients in a friendly manner, both in-person and via phone.
  • Respond to inquiries and manage requests in accordance with established policies.
  • Direct inquiries to the pharmacist when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in sales, cash handling, and healthcare is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Compensation

Anticipated hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $20.89 per hour.

Additional Information

This position is not eligible for bonuses.
