Salary Range: $72,800 - $83,200 per year

Location: Redwood City, CA - Onsite Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and accurately catalog a high volume of biological specimens from translational research initiatives into inventory systems.
  • Ensure proper identification of sample locations, manage check-in and check-out processes, and maintain current inventory records.
  • Serve as a central communication point to coordinate and proactively develop strategies aimed at enhancing the efficiency of biological sample management, focusing on improved accessibility and operational performance.
  • Facilitate and support sample-related tasks across Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and identify suitable CROs for sample management assistance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or management within an industry setting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong record-keeping capabilities, especially under pressure.
  • Experience in sample inventory management and tracking, familiarity with databases, and proficient computer skills.
  • Strong documentation practices and experience in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with project and departmental teams.
  • Innovative, proactive, and a collaborative team player with a high level of energy suitable for a dynamic company environment.
  • Able to meet project timelines and work effectively in a changing environment.
  • Preferred experience with biological data platforms such as Benchling, as well as database development and integration.
  • Desired experience in handling animal models, histology, biomarker assays, and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
