Publishing Specialist Role Summary:

At Beacon Hill, we are seeking a skilled Publishing Specialist to join our team. As a Publishing Specialist, you will be responsible for updating data, formatting, layout, design, and content for print, PDF, and presentation materials based on established templates in PowerPoint using the Seismic platform.

  • Update and create charts, graphs, templates, and exhibits to be used in communications materials, websites, and/or presentations.
  • Prepare presentation and notes files for use in meetings and webcasts.
  • Customize materials based on client needs while still applying brand, style, and data presentation guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (advanced), Microsoft Excel (intermediate; charting skills critical).
  • Demonstrate strong detail orientation, process orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; ability to effectively manage an unpredictable workload and meet established deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a keen ability to problem solve and manage ambiguity.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking, an eye for detail, and ability to spot trends and variances in data; able to work with large volumes of data from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with diverse working styles and with team members across business units; initiative to work and learn independently; proactively contribute to department goals; and ability to lead others while maintaining effective business relationships with associates throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new applications, as needed.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and the investment industry, including key data elements, is a plus.
