Sterile Processing Specialist

Excelsior Orthopaedics Group is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Buffalo Surgery Center. As a key member of our sterile processing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility in our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize reusable medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Monitor and report on compliance with sterilization guidelines and mandatory processes.
- Coordinate the ordering and distribution of supplies and equipment to ensure seamless operations.
- Retrieve, inspect, and deliver incoming supplies and equipment.
- Address supply and ordering issues, and respond to special requests from the surgical team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of experience working as a sterile processing technician.
- Current certification preferred.
- Experience working in an ambulatory center preferred but not required.
