Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Food Service Associate to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Patient Food Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with nursing departments, clinical dieticians, and other personnel to provide excellent patient services.
  • Introduce the 'Catering to You' program to new patients, following scripted methods.
  • Take patient menu selections prior to meals and offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet.
  • Assemble trays according to patient menu on tray ticket and retrieve trays from patients' rooms.
  • Comply with regulator agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facility's HIPPA policies and procedures.
  • Follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down patient tray line.
  • Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Previous banquet experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work weekends and flexible schedule.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
