Key Responsibilities:

MidwayUSA is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to oversee various initiatives aimed at sustaining the network and infrastructure of both internal and external systems. This includes responsibilities such as site hosting design, ongoing maintenance, scalability, and ensuring reliability. The role encompasses performance monitoring, operational troubleshooting, and network connectivity management for MidwayUSA systems.

Essential Skills:

  • 2-4 years of enterprise-level networking experience, focusing on routing, switching, firewalls, and security.
  • Proficiency in load balancing, website delivery, AWS, DNS, DHCP, and certificate management.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Consul, or Docker.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Knowledge of Splunk for data parsing and operational intelligence, performance monitoring, and threat analysis.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Awareness of best practices related to security, site reliability, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and compliance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is preferred, although an Associate's degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
