Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Excellence: Carry out tasks specified in repair orders, from oil changes to safety checks, ensuring exceptional service quality.
  • Technical Proficiency: Efficiently perform oil and filter changes, fluid level checks, tire pressure adjustments, and lubrication of moving components.
  • Parts Management: Communicate effectively with the parts department to procure necessary components.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor for defects or malfunctions and report them promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed for accountability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in training sessions and stay informed on technical updates for professional development.
  • Vehicle Presentation: Ensure that customer vehicles are kept clean and report any changes in condition immediately.
  • Workspace Organization: Maintain a tidy shop environment and manage dealership tools and manuals responsibly.
  • Compliance: Follow all safety and environmental regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or ASE certification preferred.
  • Experience in automotive repair and maintenance is essential.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in maintaining vehicle systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools, service equipment, and repair manuals.

Certifications:

  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
