Key Responsibilities
- Participate in networking events to strategically build a pipeline of leads and referral sources.
- Actively pursue leads through various communication methods including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Arrange and conduct meetings with potential borrowers to present tailored loan proposals and presentations.
- Assess the creditworthiness and financial profiles of potential borrowers to identify suitable residential loan options.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of loan products, processing protocols, and underwriting standards.
- Analyze market trends and competing products.
- Guide borrowers in understanding the advantages and disadvantages of various loan products to help them make informed decisions.
- Manage a substantial pipeline of loans to meet production targets.
- Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, processors, and underwriters to ensure seamless transactions.
- Work closely with borrowers and relevant parties to gather and prepare all necessary documentation for underwriting.
- Oversee the mortgage process to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and nurture relationships with real estate professionals, banking representatives, builders, and the broader community to foster business growth.
Qualifications
- Ability to excel in a commission-driven sales environment.
- Exhibits a positive mindset, strong work ethic, and determination to achieve objectives.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Must possess an active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator License or be able to obtain MLO status with NMLS and relevant state licenses.
- 3-5 years of experience in real estate, mortgage origination, or lending is required.
- Compliance with lending regulations and bank underwriting policies is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with various loan types, including FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, fixed/adjustable, bridge, non-conforming, FNMA, FHLMC, and Home Equity Lines of Credit.
- Proficiency in Office Suite and loan origination software such as Calyx, Experian, or LendingWise is preferred.
