Your Profile:

Compensation: $18 - $25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing geotechnical projects, including design calculations and recommendations.
- Oversee drilling operations and document soil borings.
- Classify soil types and determine necessary laboratory tests.
- Conduct tests on soils, foundations, and various concrete types.
- Ensure quality assurance for deep foundation projects.
- Utilize conventional GPS equipment for boring layout.
- Perform floor flatness assessments.
- Prepare detailed daily field reports with relevant photographs and sketches.
- Collect subsurface information and soil samples using hand augers.
- Observe and document construction activities, particularly foundation installation methods.
- Interpret engineering and construction plans.
- Communicate regularly with project team members, including contractors and project managers.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for job site access.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Preferred: Relevant coursework in civil engineering, environmental science, geology, or related fields.
