About the Role:
As a Data Infrastructure Engineering Team Lead at Western Digital Capital, you will be responsible for leading a team of software developers in designing and implementing data collection and storage strategies for our media development organization.
About You:
We are seeking a motivated team lead with experience in software design, implementation, and real-time data processing. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, information systems, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in software design and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software developers to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Develop and deploy programs to collect data from IoT devices, such as manufacturing and scientific tools used for media development
- Ensure high reliability of processes, data integrity, and accuracy by implementing robust data validation and quality assurance practices
- Transfer software to other sites in Asia
- Consult with engineers in the media organization to understand their data needs
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and best practices
- Report progress to senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering, information systems, or a related field
- 5 or more years of experience in software design and implementation
- Strong proficiency in coding in various forms, such as Python, C++, Java, SQL, etc.
