About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet equipment.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $32 per hour, with a $10,000 retention bonus. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance. We also provide an annual tool allowance and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units
  • Performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Documenting repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company standards
  • Handling road service calls and performing roadside repairs as needed
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years of experience with refrigeration certification. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
