Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join its team. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the company's fleet of road equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation of repairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and more
- Perform preventative maintenance within company standards to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability accurately and efficiently
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transportation services as needed
- Maintain accurate records of assigned repairs using the Shop Fax system
Requirements
- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience, or equivalent qualifications
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and drivers
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs, with flexibility to work varied schedules including nights and weekends
