Role Summary:

Service excellence is the cornerstone of our values at Vail Resorts, and our Ski School Operations Managers play a crucial role in delivering this exceptional experience. Tasked with overseeing school operations, Ski School Operations Managers are dedicated leaders focused on staff development and enhancing guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations at the Ski and Ride School, including curriculum design, scheduling, and class assignments while providing instructional support as necessary.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities such as recruitment, scheduling, training, payroll management, equipment inventory oversight, and guest feedback reporting.
  • Evaluate and document instructor performance and conduct to offer constructive feedback and guidance, including recognition, corrective action, or escalation when required.
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including policy training and incident documentation.
  • Collaborate with other management, departments, and external organizations as needed.
  • Engage in leadership discussions to provide insights and suggestions on school operations, training, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Current PSIA/AASI or equivalent certification required.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a ski/snowboard instructor and at least 1 year in a supervisory role required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of ski and ride training and drills.
  • Fluency in English is required.

The anticipated pay range is $27.00. This is the range we reasonably expect to offer for this position. Individual compensation decisions are influenced by various factors.
