Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Building Automation Specialist to join our team at The Building People.

About the Role:

  • To provide exceptional services related to the retro commissioning and calibration of existing control systems in commercial buildings.
  • To work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to meet project requirements and ensure timely delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the calibration of sensors on HVAC control systems.
  • Tune PID loops on equipment programs to optimize equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with project teams in engineering control system hardware and software programming based on project plans and specifications.
  • Help implement programming, graphics, and sequences of operations for Direct Digital Control (DDC) Systems.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior experience with Niagara 4 workbench software.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of DDC Control Theory and Applications as related to HVAC equipment.
  • Able to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Niagara Ax or N4 certification.
  • Understanding of installation of controls equipment and ancillary devices/sensors.

Compensation:

  • The estimated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.
