Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Inside Machinist to join our team at Electric Boat in Groton, CT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and machining components on manual and CNC lathes, mills, and other equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Setup and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, and other machinery to produce high-precision components
  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Complete documentation and record-keeping tasks
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-5 years of experience with CNC machining setup, programming, or operating machines
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical detail drawings
  • Proficiency in shop mathematics and computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school education or completion of the Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative training program
