Job Summary:

The Classroom Aide serves under the direction of the Education Supervisor as a second or third adult staff member in the classroom to assist with supervising children ages 3 to 5. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, while also supporting teachers with class routines, activities, and active supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers with supervising and interacting with children during circle time, singing, transitions, reading stories, and participating with children in learning centers.
  • Support teachers with active supervision, including keeping children safe, healthy, and well-supervised in the classroom and on the playground.
  • Assist with behavior management, modeling positive classroom management and promoting respect for all children and adults.
  • Model appropriate hand washing, tooth brushing, and table manners for the children.
  • Assist with cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing toys, floors, and other common areas and surfaces in the classroom.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
