Medication Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans and physician orders.
- Review and document medication administration records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure medication updates and changes are implemented promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information, including medication lists and medical histories.
- Participate in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and medication administration.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates.
- Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or concerns related to medication administration or resident care.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certifications in medication administration and CPR/First Aid preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors and administering medications is highly desirable.
- Ability to make sound judgments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
