About the Role

Ebenezer is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Care Specialist to join our team. As a Nursing Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support services to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with personal cares, including bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, nail care, dressing, and showers.
  • Support patients by helping to turn, lift, or transfer them as needed.
  • Observe residents and report their status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Chart or document resident information in our electronic medical record system.
  • Seek to resolve resident and family concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Receive and give report to appropriate staff during various times in the work shift.
  • Perform environmental and other responsibilities as assigned, including maintaining order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to maintenance, and answering phones in a timely manner.
  • May check and record vitals, per facility practice.
Requirements
  • Active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date.
  • If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.
  • Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with empathy and compassion for others.
  • Experience working in a patient support role (HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant).
  • Work experience in a customer service setting.
