University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team. As a Neonatal Care Provider, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality front-line care for infants in the delivery room, well-baby nursery, and neonatal intensive care unit. You will also provide comprehensive care for neonates up to 6 months of age and follow-up care for newborns and infants.

Responsibilities:

* Provide expert care to neonates and infants in various settings
* Collaborate with designated neonatal providers to develop expertise in specified areas
* Participate in comprehensive care for neonates up to 6 months of age
* Provide high-quality front-line care for infants in the delivery room, well-baby nursery, and neonatal intensive care unit
* Follow-up care for newborns and infants

Requirements:

* Successful completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
* Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is recommended
* Must be currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas
* Must maintain current NRP
* Prescriptive authority is required
* Valid DEA and DPS numbers must be obtained within 90 days of hire
