Tax Manager Position

TYS, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in the management and oversight of our tax department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services to our clients. You will be an integral part of our team of professionals providing strategic tax planning, compliance, and consulting services.
Responsibilities- Participate in the management and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the tax department, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance and support to staff, and ensuring client expectations are met.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and potential risks for individuals and businesses.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing proactive tax advice and solutions.
- Lead the way with respect to changes in tax laws, regulations, and communicate implications to clients and team members.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA license required.
- Masters of Taxation (Preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and planning; experience in a managerial or supervisory role required.
- Experience managing remote teams and workers.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, multistate, and local tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply complex tax concepts to client situations.
