Position Summary
The Technical Sales Consultant plays a crucial role within the Sales & Marketing Division. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Sales, this position is integral to a vibrant team dedicated to enhancing Sales & Strategic Initiatives for our Capital Equipment sectors both domestically and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster strong customer relationships
- Effectively identify, articulate, and resolve customer challenges and opportunities
- Ensure timely communication with customers, management, and team members
- Collaborate with local management to formulate strategic growth plans
- Achieve and sustain the desired market presence within the assigned territory
- Build personal connections with key customer personnel
- Regularly engage with primary customers (both Domestic and International)
- Advocate for "The Heico Companies" products and services
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all offerings
- Conduct necessary sales/support interactions and relay issues between corporate and clients
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations
- Compile and distribute product quotes and proposals
- Organize and participate in trade exhibitions as required
- Support aftermarket service and parts sales initiatives.
- Identify and pursue individual order opportunities for products and services
- Develop and implement market strategies
- Understand customer strategic goals and objectives
- Gain a thorough understanding of customer requirements
- Maintain accurate order forecasting information
- Assist in gathering general marketing intelligence
- Create a global account strategy to maximize opportunities
- Research and provide insights on competitor offerings
- Convert opportunities into confirmed sales orders
- Formulate and execute action plans for order closure
- Facilitate project closure meetings and conduct negotiations as necessary
- Ensure engineering and manufacturing teams are informed of order specifications prior to acceptance
- Collaborate with territorial agents and relevant offices as needed
- Communicate customer requirements to internal teams
- Develop precise equipment specifications in accordance with ISO standards
- Clearly convey specifications during timely "Factory Order (FO)" release meetings
- Ensure internal timelines align with customer expectations
- Manage project communication
- Coordinate project details between customers and internal departments
- Stay updated on project developments and schedule changes
- Facilitate customer visits to the company, ensuring all relevant personnel are informed
Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Engineering background, ideally in manufacturing-related sectors
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities
- General market knowledge and established contact network
- Comprehensive awareness of company products
- Prior experience with extensive travel, including international assignments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (365) is a plus
