The Adult Acute Care Team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. As a PRN Speech Pathologist, you will provide coverage during weekdays, weekends, and occasional holidays, evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory (re)habilitation, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the rehabilitation continuum.
- Apply appropriate, evidence-based interventions to ensure effective outcomes and re-evaluate performance to assess patient's progress towards goals.
- Employ strategies to promote successful return to home, community, and school/vocational environments.
- Supervise graduate students by providing instruction, guidance/counsel and training to ensure provision of competent patient care and completion of appropriate documentation.
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology Program
- Current unrestricted TN state licensure, or eligibility to obtain
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association
- Basic Life Support/CPR
