Speech Pathologist Opportunity at Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist at VUMC, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and make a meaningful impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, fluency, voice, cognitive, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders to improve communication and/or swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare/educational team to meet patient care, outcome, and system improvement objectives.
  • Formulate functional treatment plans that are goal-focused, individualized, safe, and age-specific to address deficits and patient/caregiver areas of concern.
  • Administer and score standardized and criterion-referenced tests to assess patient progress.
  • Interpret results of assessments and their significance to patients, families, referring physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

  • LIC-Speech Pathologist - Tennessee
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree
