About the Community You Will Serve:
Our flagship facility is a prominent 1,368-bed hospital that serves as a major tertiary care center for the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America. We boast one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the nation, providing exceptional service to over 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually.
Your Role:
The Manager of the Clinical Research Unit plays a vital role within the AdventHealth Research Institute, overseeing the execution of Phase I-IV clinical trials, whether industry-sponsored or investigator-initiated. You will ensure compliance with trial protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines while collaborating with the research team to meet specific study objectives and timelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting clinical tasks related to study-specific tests and procedures.
- Communicating effectively with participants, investigators, and research staff to advocate for participant needs and report any concerns.
- Training new staff members and fostering a culture of outstanding customer service.
Your Contributions:
As the manager, you will:
- Oversee daily operations of the Clinical Research Unit, including staffing and resource management.
- Maintain inventory and ensure quality assurance throughout research protocol execution.
- Participate in research planning and budget management, utilizing resources efficiently.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the accurate and timely execution of research protocols.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Minimum of two years' experience as a Research Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Active State of Florida Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
