About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Researcher to join our team in the cell adhesion laboratory of Professor Tina Izard. As a Researcher, you will play a key role in advancing our research in structural biology, with a focus on high-resolution structure determination and Unix knowledge.
About the Laboratory:
Our laboratory is a world leader in protein biochemistry and structural, molecular, and cellular biology. We provide outstanding training in a highly dynamic and team-oriented research program. Our state-of-the-art facilities include:
- Cell biology and molecular biology laboratories
- Protein expression, purification, and biochemistry facilities
- Cryogenic electron microscopy and protein crystallography equipment
- Access to a large cast of outstanding Cores for basic research and drug development
About the Research:
As a Researcher, you will work on exciting projects that involve:
- Structure-function studies of cytoskeletal proteins that control signaling downstream of adherens junctions and focal adhesions
- Novel Mycobacterium tuberculosis targets in collaboration with Professor Luiz Carvalho
- High-resolution structure determination and Unix knowledge

Requirements:
- Ph.D. in an appropriate scientific discipline
- Minimum of 2 years postdoctoral experience
- Experience in high-resolution structure determination and Unix knowledge
- Strong background in structural biology

- Recently awarded Ph.D. degrees in structural biology
- Experience in protein biochemistry and structural, molecular, and cellular biology
