Position: Accounting Operations Analyst
As a key member of the finance team, the Accounting Operations Analyst will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for executing various accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and month-end financial closings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Accounts Payable and process Cash Disbursements
  • Prepare and issue billings
  • Record and reconcile cash receipts
  • Conduct Bank and account reconciliations
  • Administer payroll processes
  • Collaborate with internal and external accounting teams to support the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, in line with the monthly closing schedule
  • Review financial statements, identify variances, and rectify discrepancies
  • Maintain comprehensive records for disbursements, expenses, tax obligations, and income
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial accounts
  • Assist with annual tax return preparations and other corporate reporting needs
  • Support the annual audit process
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate accounting for revenues, purchases, and expenses
  • Maintain accounting systems to facilitate efficient recording of financial transactions
  • Assist the Controller and CFO in communicating and adhering to accounting and auditing policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Required Skills:
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to collaborate across operational functions
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statement preparation
  • Proficiency in Unanet for accounting or reporting tasks is essential
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience
Additional Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with government development programs and contracting
  • Experience in a startup or project-based engineering environment is advantageous
  • Preference for US Persons (Citizens or Green Card holders)
