The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of successfully navigating government procurement systems, fostering relationships with essential stakeholders, and consistently meeting sales targets in the public domain. Additionally, this individual will be tasked with training, supporting, and managing relationships with channel partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve defined revenue goals through effective channel partner engagement.
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with channel partners.
  • Provide education on our products and services, including ongoing training through webinars, presentations, and materials.
  • Assess and report on channel partner performance using metrics such as activity levels, quotes, sales, and revenue.
  • Prepare and submit reports detailing activities and results, including daily call logs and monthly territory analyses.
  • Document all activities in the CRM/Salesforce in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to create a pipeline of initiatives aimed at boosting sales.
  • Work alongside the internal sales team to ensure success through accountability and continuous training on channel partner sales strategies.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and channel partners.
  • Engage in client meetings and presentations on-site.
  • Create client-facing sales presentations, quotes, and proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and maintain professional knowledge through publications and networking.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills with all organizational levels, clients, and staff.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with customers.
  • Focus consistently on meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong closing abilities.
  • Exhibit self-motivation, excellent listening skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to foster relationships and promote the company.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in government sales or a related field, with a comprehensive understanding of government procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and compliance requirements, along with the ability to navigate complex bureaucratic environments.
  • Experience with government e-procurement systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the capacity to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in selling through channel partners is preferred.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to partners and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in territory management and prospecting.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • An advanced degree or certification in government sales is advantageous.
