Job Description

**Job Title:** Director of Early Childhood Education

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Early Childhood Education to lead our childcare center in providing high-quality education and care to young children. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent leadership and management skills, and a passion for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the childcare center, ensuring that it operates in accordance with state and national standards for early childhood education.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement high-quality educational programs for children from birth to age 5, including curriculum planning, staff training, and parent engagement.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support a team of early childhood educators, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff members.
  • Communication and Community Building: Foster strong relationships with parents, community partners, and other stakeholders to promote the center's mission and values.
  • Financial Management: Manage the center's budget, including financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the center complies with all relevant state and national regulations, including health and safety standards, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, including 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Credentials: Active Director's Credential and Staff Credential.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
