Job Summary

Pierce College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Crime Analysis and Investigation Certificate program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in crime analysis and investigation, as well as experience in online teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the Crime Analysis and Investigation Certificate program, including CJ270: Intro to Investigative Profiling, CJ271: Intro to Crime Analysis, and CJ272: Criminal Investigations.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective online course materials and assessments.
  • Provide high-quality instruction and support to students, including responding to student inquiries and providing feedback on assignments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program curriculum and assessments.
  • Stay current with best practices in crime analysis and investigation, as well as online teaching and learning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited institution in the discipline required, or a related field with 15 graduate credits in the discipline.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in crime analysis/criminal justice field, equivalent to 3 years experience.
  • Experience in online teaching and learning, including course development and delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
