Position Overview:

The Room Attendant role at VP Management LLC's Christiansburg VA Hotel involves ensuring the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of guest accommodations, communal spaces, and service areas.

This is a full-time opportunity within the Hospitality sector located in Christiansburg, Virginia. The position reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and functions as an individual contributor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain guest rooms and public areas in accordance with company standards and protocols
  • Change bed linens and prepare beds in guest accommodations
  • Perform vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping of all floor surfaces
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and various surfaces
  • Restock amenities and supplies in guest rooms and common areas
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms
  • Report maintenance concerns or damages to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Collaborate with fellow housekeeping personnel to ensure efficient and timely task completion
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Assist with laundry tasks as required
  • Participate in training and development sessions as necessary
  • Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor towards guests and coworkers at all times

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Must be capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Professional and approachable demeanor
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
