Job Summary

The Neighborhood at Paducah is seeking a skilled Cook to join their team. As a key member of the food service team, the Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to residents.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, including experience with full-line menu items and therapeutic diets. A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred, but not required.

The Cook will work closely with the Food and Beverage Director to ensure that all food production meets quality, quantity, and service schedule requirements. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, adhering to posted menus and production sheets.
  • Monitor food temperatures and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Maintain accurate records of food production, including temperature logs and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
  • One (1) year job-related experience, including food preparation and full-line menu items.
  • Current SERV Safe certificate or ability to participate in food services sanitation training.
