Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our team at CostQuest, a leading broadband consulting firm. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals early in their career to learn about machine learning, artificial intelligence, research, and development.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for someone who is excited to take on new projects, work collaboratively, recognize nuances and patterns, and enjoy working with Python. As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you will assist in the development and training of machine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and training of machine learning models using various techniques.
  • Label and preprocess data for machine learning models.
  • Develop methods to enhance model accuracy and performance.
  • Write and optimize code for machine learning algorithms, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Participate in the deployment of machine learning models into production environments, including integration with existing systems.
  • Document machine learning processes, including data preparation, model development, and evaluation results.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to explore and experiment with new machine learning techniques and algorithms to address unique and complex problems.
About CostQuest:

CostQuest is a broadband consulting firm offering specialized consulting services, GIS data, and application products. Our team utilizes GIS solutions to design, develop, and implement economic models, applications, and geographic data to support the broadband telecommunications ecosystem.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with implementing machine learning algorithms (this can be a school or personal project).
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with computer vision or graph neural networks is a plus. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is also beneficial.

Location:

This role requires reliable commute or relocation before starting work to Seattle, WA 98122.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $70,000-$90,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer competitive compensation packages that include benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.
