The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Machine Learning intern who will join our Firefly team to work on developing computer vision algorithms/models that understand, generate, and enhance data for training pioneering image and video foundation models powered by data, training, and inference infrastructures. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to research, experiment, develop, and optimize CV algorithms/models, collaborating with researchers and applied researchers to bring research ideas to production.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop predictive models on large-scale datasets using statistical modeling, machine learning, and analytics techniques.
  • Create scalable, efficient, and interpretable modeling algorithms that work with large-scale production systems data.
  • Research and develop computer vision algorithms/models to generate image and video training data for Generative AI foundation models and applications.
  • Collaborate with data, modeling, and inference platform teams to optimize, scale up, and deliver end-to-end solutions to production.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required with an expected graduation date of December 2025 - June 2026.
  • Good understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, or data analytics concepts.
  • Deep expertise in computer vision, image processing, video processing, and machine learning for Generative AI.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
  • Familiar with one or more machine learning or statistical modeling tools such as R, Matlab, and scikit learn.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication, relationship skills, and a team player.
  • Ability to participate in a full-time internship between May-September.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45.00 -- $61.00 hourly, reflecting the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Our benefits package includes equal employment opportunities, access to cutting-edge technology, and a dynamic work environment.
