We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide specialized and routine clinical therapies to our neonatal and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient condition and develop a respiratory care plan
- Administer diagnostic tests and procedures, including blood gas sampling and interpretation
- Provide mechanical ventilation and maintain artificial airways
- Initiate patient and caregiver teaching
- Complete necessary documentation of patient care treatments and responses
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care
- American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- 2 years of pediatric experience, including experience in the PICU and/or NICU
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
