Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide specialized and routine clinical therapies to our neonatal and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition and develop a respiratory care plan
  • Administer diagnostic tests and procedures, including blood gas sampling and interpretation
  • Provide mechanical ventilation and maintain artificial airways
  • Initiate patient and caregiver teaching
  • Complete necessary documentation of patient care treatments and responses
Requirements
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • American Heart Association (AHA) certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • 2 years of pediatric experience, including experience in the PICU and/or NICU
Working Conditions

Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
