As a Respiratory Therapy Student, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist to perform delegated aspects of Respiratory Care. This may include administrative and clinical duties such as patient care, equipment cleaning, ordering stock, and performing charge audits.
Qualifications:
Current student enrolled in a clinical Respiratory Care program
Within 3 semesters from graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities:
Perform delegated aspects of Respiratory Care under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist
Assist with patient care, equipment cleaning, and ordering stock
Perform charge audits and reconciliation

Sentara Leigh Hospital is a 250-bed facility featuring all patient-friendly private rooms and specializing in orthopedic, gynecological, and urological services. The hospital offers a full-service Emergency Room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, GI, and Oncology services.
