Speech Language Pathologist - PRN

We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. As a PRN Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with patients in acute care and outpatient settings, providing assessment, treatment, and education to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform age-appropriate patient assessment and establish a plan of care
  • Obtain and verify physician orders for therapy and validate for appropriateness
  • Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from patients or families
  • Ensure patients have given informed consent to treatment
  • Evaluate patients using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements
  • Integrate assessment results to identify functional problems and prioritize care needs with patients and families
  • Set appropriate, measurable, functional goals with time frames to address identified problems
  • Determine a plan for care and/or appropriate therapeutic interventions to achieve stated goals
  • Initiate therapy discharge planning in collaboration with the care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or other post-baccalaureate degree recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • CCC's and MBS experience required
  • SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License upon hire required or SLP-I - Speech Language Pathology Intern Texas Speech Language Pathology License upon hire required
  • SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License upon hire preferred
