The Liquidity, Funding, and Collateral Management division within Treasury is responsible for liquidity strategy across the organization and its affiliates, including our banking and brokerage entities. We oversee and manage compliance with regulatory metrics such as the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), and the FR 2052a Liquidity Monitoring Report, ensuring adherence and managing associated public disclosures. We also develop tools to assist our business partners in evaluating the liquidity effects of their decisions. Furthermore, we execute transactions to secure appropriate funding for various legal entities and collaborate with second-line partners to create robust contingency funding plans to mitigate emerging risks. This team is tasked with designing the company's liquidity management strategy and policies while ensuring compliance at all times. We engage with both internal and external partners on numerous ongoing examinations and audits of liquidity practices. We are looking for an analyst to join the Liquidity Regulatory Reporting team in an individual contributor role.

What you bring
  • Ability to deconstruct complex business challenges into measurable components;
  • Extensive knowledge of liquidity regulatory reporting (FR 2052a 6G, LCR, NSFR) is essential;
  • Experience with the ControllerView application is crucial;
  • A Bachelor's degree is required;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a financial institution;
  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles. Experience in broker-dealer operations is advantageous;
  • Proficient in Excel;
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, and/or Alteryx is a plus;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple, shifting priorities;
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
Your responsibilities:
  • Develop business requirement documents for both functional (regulatory and/or business rules) and non-functional (data management, governance) capabilities necessary for Liquidity Regulatory Reporting.
  • Conduct daily validation and analysis of LCR, NSFR, and FR2052a reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure timely regulatory submissions of the FR 2052a reports daily.
  • Maintain internal procedures and documentation for liquidity reporting.
  • Evaluate the impact of regulatory changes and perform gap analyses.
  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources, including databases and spreadsheets, and recommend technical solutions and automation.
  • Conduct data analysis and identify discrepancies. Collaborate with technology partners to resolve data issues and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure resolution.
  • Act as a liaison for treasury in projects aimed at developing liquidity monitoring tools.
  • Document and present analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects and reporting, primarily focused on liquidity.
  • Support long-term initiatives to enhance the efficiency of Liquidity Regulatory Reporting.
  • Assist in interpreting liquidity regulations as they pertain to Schwab products and data.
