Are you ready to unlock your potential with a leading healthcare provider that prioritizes the growth and development of its staff? We are seeking a motivated Certified Respiratory Therapist IV-PRN to help us achieve our objectives.

Role Summary and Qualifications

A Certified Respiratory Therapist IV possesses specialized training in respiratory care. The therapist is responsible for executing respiratory procedures and managing equipment within the hospital setting. If you fit this description, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

  • Conduct arterial puncture and ABG analysis upon departmental certification.
  • Manage the procurement, storage, handling, and dispensing of therapeutic gases.
  • Assess patients' clinical conditions and recommend suitable therapies while responding appropriately to adverse reactions.
  • Administer prescribed therapies following departmental protocols.
  • Recognize changes in patients' conditions, whether improvements or deteriorations.
  • Deliver and monitor oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, humidification, and other critical care procedures.
  • Perform therapeutic percussion, vibration, and bronchial drainage techniques.
  • Assist with intubation and nasal CPAP procedures upon hospital certification.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved 1- or 2-year Respiratory Therapy Program.
  • Current State of California RCP License.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Current PALS certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an acute care environment.
