Job Title: Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist

Community Autism Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is seeking a part-time Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in San Fernando Valley, CA.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated SLP to provide speech and language therapy services to infants and toddlers with developmental or physical disabilities. As an Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist, you will conduct formal and informal evaluations to assess communication skills, collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, and provide treatment to improve communication skills and oral motor function.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evaluations to assess communication skills and identify communication disorders
  • Collaborate with OTs, CDS, BTs, and Parent Support Specialists to develop treatment plans
  • Provide treatment to improve communication skills and oral motor function
  • Supervise CFs, SLPAs, and CDS staff
  • Design and employ alternative diagnostic or communication devices and strategies
  • Instruct clients and family members in strategies to cope with or avoid communication-related misunderstandings
Requirements:
  • Master's in Speech Language Pathology and current/valid license in California
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) from ASHA
  • Two or more years' experience in pediatric Speech and Language Therapy
  • Supervision CEU requirements to support CF and SLPA candidates
  • High level of professionalism, written, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to serve culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse families
