Licensed Therapist/Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Therapist/Counselor to join our team at Summit BHC. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide treatment and support to assist clients in their recovery from addictions, such as alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders, or other behavioral problems.
Responsibilities- Participate in client treatment planning and continuum of care.
- Conduct group and/or family sessions, under supervision, as scheduled and document as required.
- Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors.
- Responsible for initial assessments, as well as follow-up assessments for clients.
- Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned client.
- Ensure all documentation regarding client care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
- Act as a liaison between referral sources and clients.
- Provide crisis intervention to clients, as needed.
- Plan for aftercare for assigned clients.
- Act as a liaison with insurance carriers, as requested.
- Provide case management duties for clients, ensuring individualized quality care.
- Evaluate the need of the client and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
- Provide client and family education relative to substance use disorder/psychiatric problems.
- Conduct educational workshops both within the Facility and in the community, as required.
- Serve as a liaison with self-help groups and EAP professionals.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of chemical dependence services required by the Facility treatment programs.
- Assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns, providing direction and clinical guidance.
- Coordinate the activities of other clinical and direct client care staff, providing direction and clinical guidance.
- Requires Bachelor's degree in social or health services field, with 6+ years of experience in the counseling field.
- OR Bachelor's degree in other field with 8+ years of experience in the counseling field.
- OR Master's degree in social or health services field, with 4+ years of professional work experience.
- Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure or certification for counseling may be required by the state in which the facility operates.
- CPR certification and de-escalation training required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
