About the Role:

As a Counselor IV at Summit BHC, you will play a vital role in providing treatment and support to clients recovering from addictions and behavioral problems. This position requires a licensed therapist/counselor with prior experience working with military clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the continuum of care and be able to participate in client treatment planning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct group and/or family sessions, under supervision, as scheduled and document as required.
* Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors.
* Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned client.
* Ensure all documentation regarding client care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
* Act as a liaison between referral sources and clients.
* Provide crisis intervention to clients, as needed.
* Plan for aftercare for assigned clients.
* Act as a liaison with insurance carriers, as requested.
* Provide case management duties for clients, ensuring individualized quality care.
* Evaluate the need of the client and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
* Provide client and family education relative to substance use disorder/psychiatric problems.
* Conduct educational workshops both within the Facility and in the community, as required.
* Serve as a liaison with self-help groups and EAP professionals.
* Conduct ongoing assessments of chemical dependence services required by the Facility treatment programs.
* Assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns, providing direction and clinical guidance.
* Coordinate the activities of other clinical and direct client care staff, providing direction and clinical guidance.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in social or health services field, with 6+ years of experience in the counseling field.
* OR Bachelor's degree in other field with 8+ years of experience in the counseling field.
* OR Master's degree in social or health services field, with 4+ years of professional work experience.
* Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
* Licensure or certification for counseling may be required by the state in which the facility operates.
* CPR certification and de-escalation training required.
* First aid may be required based on state or facility.
