Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the professional appearance standards as outlined in the Tao Group Hospitality Employee Handbook.
  • Proactively anticipate and meet the needs of guests.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of tables at all times.
  • Effectively communicate guest needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House teams, including servers, managers, and chefs.
  • Deliver and refill water as requested by guests or directed by servers.
  • Clear and reset tables, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area throughout service.
  • Contribute to guest satisfaction through active participation in service.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of workstations and the venue.
  • Adhere to sanitation standards set by the Department of Health and the company.
  • Prepare floor and side stations, performing opening and closing tasks as directed by management, including:
    • Ensuring all tables and seating areas are clean and free of debris.
    • Setting tables with appropriate settings.
    • Wiping down tables, chairs, and banquettes.
    • Stocking side stations with necessary supplies.
    • Completing prescribed opening and closing side-work.
  • Participate in marking tables for upcoming courses when available.
  • Report any breakage or damage to equipment or furniture to management immediately.
  • Engage in daily pre-service meetings and training sessions.
  • Learn through observation and collaboration with team members while leading by example.
  • Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Tao Group Hospitality and its associated environments.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support to fellow team members.

Training Requirements:

  • Completion of Tao Group Hospitality in-venue busser training and obtaining a Food Handling Certificate.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in hospitality.
  • Experience as a busser is preferred.
  • Background in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge setting.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Job may involve repetitive motion tasks.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen elements and cleaning materials.
  • Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts such as days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
