Position Overview

Role Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver products to various customer sites efficiently and safely. This includes unloading cargo upon arrival.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate different types of trucks, including straight boom trucks and semi-tractor trailers, with safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to delivery and pick-up protocols as outlined by the Dispatch team.
  • Unload goods at the designated customer locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all materials and products transported.
  • Report any incidents or accidents immediately.
  • Keep daily and monthly trip logs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company.
  • Assist with warehouse operations as required.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate a manual transmission truck.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
  • Capability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A positive demeanor and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in English communication regarding essential job functions.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid CDL A license.
  • Experience with flatbed hauling is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Boom Certification is a plus.
  • A valid medical certification is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is necessary.
  • At least one year of prior experience in truck driving is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual, auditory, and verbal acuity is required.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods is necessary.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and fumes is expected.
