Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the activities of Maintenance Technicians to ensure efficient execution of their tasks.
  • Manage incoming Maintenance requests, prioritize them, provide cost assessments when necessary, and coordinate completion schedules.
  • Support the Manager in generating cost estimates for various projects.
  • Regularly assess the facility for any maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Organize and monitor all preventative maintenance tasks, collaborating with both external vendors and internal staff.
  • Prepare workspaces by relocating furniture and other obstacles as needed.
  • Handle tools and materials, including lifting and transporting them.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant codes and regulations, reporting any deficiencies across facilities and systems.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for team members in a timely manner.
  • Provide both formal and informal training to enhance team skills.
  • Engage in coaching and counseling sessions to support team development.
  • Acknowledge and reward outstanding performance among staff.
  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Participate in the recruitment process to select and retain high-quality employees.
Additional Duties:
  • Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required; trade school training is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in fields such as electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, maintenance, or machinist roles is necessary.
  • Strong mathematical skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities are necessary.
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills are crucial.
  • Ability to address problems and manage various situations effectively.
  • Professional appearance is expected at all times.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and obtain necessary licenses.
  • Knowledge in areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, machinery repair, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and general maintenance is important.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required.
  • Familiarity with operating specialized equipment and safety protocols is essential.
