Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at Delaware Technical & Community College. This is a regular full-time position located at our Terry Campus in Dover, DE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform building maintenance and repair work, including HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other related tasks.
  • Identify and correct building and equipment problems to maintain safe conditions and prevent failures.
  • Provide technical expertise to facilities personnel and outside contractors to assist with job requirements and planning.
  • Repair, modify, construct, fabricate, install, and maintain building structures and equipment to provide safe conditions for employees and students.
  • Inspect facilities equipment and systems to determine condition and recommend repairs or replacements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of relevant experience, or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Working Conditions

The incumbent will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to physical demands, including lifting, bending, and working at heights. The incumbent will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions.
