Position: Robotics Automation Specialist
Location: Elkhart, IN
Overview:


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 4-5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Ability to convert user needs into functional designs and technical concepts
  • Lead teams in delivering advanced technical solutions
  • Exhibit creativity and innovation in engineering practices
  • Develop unique solutions for existing manufacturing challenges
  • Utilize knowledge of product design and assembly in manufacturing
  • Conduct assessments and comprehend customer requirements to define DOU/SOW
  • Assist in preparing RFQs/RFIs for vendors and evaluate their proposals
  • Support proposal development for clients and contribute to project acquisition
  • Coordinate with offshore and vendor teams as per project needs
  • Participate in project status reviews and senior management evaluations
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and foster ongoing client relationships
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required

B) Manufacturing Automation Expertise:
  • Experience in manufacturing automation
  • Background in custom engineered solutions and factory automation
  • Proficiency in developing system integration solutions for assembly line automation
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering and control automation
  • Understanding of the automation ecosystem
  • Preparation of high-level automation concepts
  • High-level estimation for automation ROM & BOM
  • Knowledge of low-cost automation, fixture design, SPM, and testing machines
  • Experience with robotics and collaborative robot automation
  • Process automation skills
  • Expertise in assembly, pick & place, vision, and inspection automation
  • Industry experience in truck and off-highway manufacturing (additional industry experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with operational technology communication protocols
  • Experience in automation cell integration (Robotics/Pneumatic/PLC/Safety, etc.)
  • Integration experience in robotics and linear motion systems
  • Competent in value stream mapping and leading lean manufacturing initiatives
Educational Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
