Job Summary

The Process Optimization Engineer will be instrumental in refining the aluminum extrusion and fabrication processes.

The ideal candidate will utilize Lean Principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and advanced automation technologies to foster continuous improvement, elevate product quality, and boost operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Lean Manufacturing Implementation:
Employ Lean Manufacturing Principles to eradicate waste, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiencies.

Continuous Improvement Leadership:

Spearhead continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma methodologies or other quality-related techniques to tackle complex manufacturing challenges.


Process Optimization:
Execute value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and process optimization strategies to improve productivity and minimize costs.

Automation and Robotics:
Design and implement automation and robotics solutions to optimize manufacturing processes in aluminum extrusion and fabrication.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, program, and deploy automated systems.

Technology Integration:
Assess and incorporate new technologies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Workflow Improvement:
Perform time studies, capacity analysis, and ergonomic evaluations to enhance workflow and eliminate bottlenecks.

Documentation Development:
Create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.

Technical Support:
Offer technical assistance and guidance to manufacturing teams, maintenance personnel, and production supervisors.

Employee Training:
Educate employees on Lean Principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and the operation of automated systems and robotics.

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience:
At least five years of experience in industrial manufacturing, ideally within the aluminum extrusion and fabrication sector.

Knowledge:
Profound understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.

Technical Skills:
Familiarity with automation and robotics in a manufacturing context. Proficient in using detail and simulation software.

Skills:
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
