How You Will Contribute:

As a Medical Coding Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical coding data for outpatient services. Your responsibilities will include compiling daily work lists, entering detailed notes, escalating alert/edit resolution issues, monitoring the aging of accounts, working with team members, communicating coding revisions, completing MOCK abstracts, assisting with unbilled reason codes, and performing Coding Integrity Specialist II duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred, undergraduate (associates or bachelors) degree in HIM/HIT preferred
  • One (1) year acute care observation and/or same day surgery hospital outpatient coding experience required
  • RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS preferred

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience
