Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled **Barbecue Team Member** to join our team at Dreamland BBQ. As a key member of our back-of-the-house team, you will be responsible for preparing hot and cold meals, monitoring portions, managing inventories, and maintaining a sanitary kitchen work area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food as directed, season and cook food according to recipes, and properly store, date, and rotate food items.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect all kitchen surfaces to ensure a safe and sanitary environment, and organize food storage and kitchen equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining effective cost controls, including daily and periodic inventory variances.
  • Team Collaboration: Consult with supervisory staff to plan prep, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Skillset: Exceptional multitasking skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to lift 25 lbs. or more.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift tray overhead.
